As we step into 2025, a year of deep transition, many of us are being called forward in ways we never expected. Sometimes, it feels exhilarating—like stepping into a role we were always meant to play. Other times, it feels daunting, as if we are being stretched beyond our limits. But I’ve come to trust that these moments of challenge and expansion are all part of a greater unfolding.
This is not by chance.
The shifts we experience—personally and collectively—are part of a greater unfolding, one that aligns with the ancient principle of Dharma.
Dharma is often translated as duty, purpose, or path, but in truth, it transcends any single definition. In the context of Non-Dual Tantric philosophy, Dharma is not something outside of us to be found—it is something alive within us, expressing itself through our essence. It is not a rigid set of rules but a dynamic force that we embody when we are in alignment with our deepest truth.
Where is life pulling me?
What is the most natural and authentic expression of my being in this moment?
Dharma Beyond Duty: A Tantric View
While classical traditions may frame Dharma as a set of prescribed roles or duties, the Tantric view is more fluid. Rather than being a fixed responsibility dictated by external forces, Dharma is seen as an inner impulse of the Divine unfolding uniquely through each of us:
In Non-Dual Tantra, all existence is seen as an expression of Shakti, the creative force of the universe. If everything is divine, then our Dharma is simply the way in which that divinity wishes to move through us.
Dharma is not separate from our joy, passion, or creativity—it is woven into the fabric of our desires, the deep longing that calls us toward expansion and expression.
Instead of viewing Dharma as an obligation, Tantra invites us to ask: Where is life pulling me? What is the most natural and authentic expression of my being in this moment?
The Tapestry of Interconnection
One of the most beautiful ways I have found to envision Dharma is as an intricate tapestry—a vast, shape-shifting design that evolves with time. Each of us is a thread, woven together by the choices we make and the energies we embody.
Our personal thread does not exist in isolation; it is interwoven with the strands of our ancestors, our communities, and the collective consciousness.
Our Dharma shifts over time—it is not static but dynamic, just like the tapestry itself. Sometimes, our thread is more prominent, standing out in bold color, while at other times, it blends into the background, supporting the whole. Both roles are equally essential.
When we resist our natural flow, we create knots and tension in the weave. But when we surrender to our true nature, we move with grace, effortlessly finding our place in the greater design.

Living Dharma: From Philosophy to Embodiment
To truly live our Dharma, we must cultivate a felt-sense of alignment. Tantra teaches that this is not a mental exercise but a full-body knowing—an attunement to the rhythms of life.
Some guiding principles from the Tantric tradition:
Swadharma – Your Unique ExpressionYour Dharma is yours alone. No one else can walk your path. Non-Dual Tantra encourages us to honor our individuality while recognizing that it is an extension of the Whole.
Spanda – The Pulsation of LifeThe universe is always in motion, expanding and contracting like the inhale and exhale. Dharma is not a rigid structure but a pulsation, constantly shifting and evolving. When we tune into this rhythm, we naturally move toward what is in alignment.
Rasa – Savoring the ExperienceDharma is not about sacrifice—it is about fully embodying the experience of being alive. What brings you vitality? What lights you up? Tantra teaches that pleasure and purpose are not separate, and our Dharma is often revealed through what makes us feel the most alive.
Iccha Shakti – The Power of DesireIn Tantra, our deepest desires are not obstacles but signposts to our Dharma. The pull we feel toward certain paths or experiences is the universe speaking through us. The key is to discern between ego-driven cravings and soul-led longing.
Spanda: the divine pulsation of life found in the macro cosmos to the micro seedlings
In Non-Dual Tantric philosophy, Dharma is not a fixed role dictated by external rules—it is the natural unfolding of our essence. It is not separate from our joy, our creativity, or the things that make us feel most alive. In fact, those very things are often the clearest signposts pointing us toward our truth.
Over the years, I have learned to listen. To trust. To recognize when I am being pulled out of alignment and to course-correct with more grace and less resistance. And above all, I’ve learned that my Dharma is never just about me—it is about how I am meant to contribute to the collective, how my small thread weaves into the greater whole.
Some things I hold close when it comes to Dharma:
✨ Our Dharma is always evolving. What was true for us five years ago may not be true today, and that’s okay. Our work is to keep listening.
✨ Alignment feels like flow, even when it’s hard. Dharma doesn’t mean an easy path, but it does mean a true one. When we are in our Dharma, even challenges feel meaningful.
✨ Joy is not separate from purpose. In Tantra, the energy that moves us toward our Dharma is called Iccha Shakti—the power of desire. Our deepest, soul-led longings are not distractions; they are invitations.
✨ Trust the weave. Even when we can’t see the full picture, we can trust that our thread is exactly where it’s meant to be.
Where is life calling me?
What thread am I weaving into the tapestry?
Dharma in 2025: A Call to Authenticity
As we move through this transformative year, let’s embrace the mystery of our unfolding paths. Dharma is not something we figure out—it is something we live into, moment by moment, breath by breath.
I invite you to take a moment to pause and ask: Where is life calling me? What thread am I weaving into the tapestry?
By attuning to our deepest truth, following the natural pulse of life, and allowing our unique thread to be woven into the collective tapestry with intention, we step fully into our power.
May we all have the courage to trust the weave, surrender to the flow, and embody the Dharma that is already alive within us.
